On 26th November 2026 Tharandt will once again become a place for exchange.<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n

Next to a forestry job fair we want to build a stage for intense discussion between politics - science - economy. On 26th November 2026 we want to tackle some uncomfortable questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What issues concern us in the forest? What do we have to think about in order to look into the future in a climate-stable way? We have chosen three big topics: choice of tree species, seed availability and saw industry.<\/strong>. Together with you we want to identify specific challenges and phrase recommendations of action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T-Talks - the little cousins of the Tharandter Gespr\u00e4che. Mini-seminars with large effect. We are planning 4 T-Talks in advance of the Tharandter Gespr\u00e4che. The topics are choice of tree species, tree seed availability, wood industry and - to lift our perspective to the meta level - politics & society. These seminars pursue the purpose to understand current conflicts. Here we need your critical thinking because here, the questions should emerge for the panel discussions.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

3 areas of conflict - 2 panel discussions. The highlight of this year's Tharandter Gespr\u00e4che.\nWe invited several actors from the areas politics, science and economy. The goal of the discussions is to force interdisciplinary exchange. The actors shall show their motives, we want to stress future challenges. As we want to ask the right questions, it is very important that you participate in the T-Talks.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

How is it possible to build a climate-stable forest? Through our own hands. For that, you need a suitable job. That is why, for the third year in row, we are calling several employers to Tharandt so you can find the best job.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Tharandt is too far away? Then stay a little longer<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are planning on a couchsurfing for the non-Tharandt students. All you need is a sleeping bag and a tooth brush. Dogs are welcome (just don't tell our landlords). While registering, you can tell if you are in need of a stay and we will take care of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now there are no excuses anymore! We are expecting you in Tharandt.<\/p>\n\n\n
