What are simulation games?

Simulation games offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in specific situations from your later working life. The individual players represent stakeholders of forestry. Together, we want to discuss fundamental topics and further ideas that could arise in a similar way in later working life. This gives you insights into practical scenarios and allows you to acquire skills for dealing with everyday challenges. Simulation games provide a space for creative solutions and new perspectives, strengthening self-efficacy and the ability to work in a team.

Who can join the games?

We ask you all: at the 27th of octobre 2025 we will have one day lecture off and play together simulation games on the campus of Tharandt. Invited are of course all kind of forestry students. If you want to join the day, let us know and register below.

We are glad to have sparked your interest. So that we can plan ahead, we ask students and participants to register for this year’s Tharandter Gespräche. Student registration helps us know how many guests to expect. Remember: there is one day off from university!

By participants, we mean the invited employers, companies, and institutions that are coming to Tharandt for the day. We kindly request some information from you so that we can contact you and plan together.
